What To Expect

We have 80 corral stalls approximately 20’ by 30’. Our 6 barns have a high center isle with fans and lights and each ‘stall’ portion of the corral is fully matted with cinder block walls between the horses. Each ‘stall’ has a private walk in locking tack room. Board fees include daily feeding and cleaning. Bedding is available for an additional fee.

Peppertree Farms, formerly known as Lucidi Farms is a beautiful full service boarding and training facility in the rolling hills of Poway. We offer everything for the pleasure rider through the serious competitor including trails, a mirrored dressage court and a jumping arena. Peppertree Farms is home to four on site trainers and hosts clinics with several well-known and respected trainers.

We provide professional customer service in a casual and friendly environment so you can relax and enjoy your horse.

Tambi Pearl grew up in Poway riding at the early age of three as a member of the Rainbow Vaulting Team. Tambi joined Poway Valley Pony Club when she was six and even though she didn't have a saddle, she rode bareback on the flat and over fences. At the age of thirteen Tambi was given a two-year old appendix mare that hadn't been ridden. Tambi started this mare and achieved her graduate A National Pony Club Rating on her in just four years. During high school, she drove a team of two Belgian draft horses for Wells Cargo Hayride Company. During the summer she rode in the horse show exhibit at the San Diego County Fair Grounds.

After graduation, Tambi attended Midway College in Kentucky. She competed in the intercollegiate Horse Show Association in the open division. Tambi also worked for many thoroughbred farms at the track and at thoroughbred sales.

When Tambi returned from college, she began teaching students and developing her clientele. She worked with many horses and competed them in multiple eventing competitions from elementary to preliminary levels. Tambi now trains horses, gives lessons in groundwork, dressage, showjumping and cross country. She also owns Tambi's Riding Academy to teach students using safe experienced ponies.

Tambi's training philosophy involves an understanding of the horses needs for a balanced, confident and patient rider. Riding a horse is a partnership that if developed correctly, will continue to grow for a lifetime.

We provide professional customer service in a casual and friendly environment so you can relax and enjoy your horse.

Laura Sakakeeny Faremouth, our Manager, lives at Peppertree Farms and keeps a watchful eye on all the horses. She is assisted by an experienced staff who like working around the horses. Laura owned and managed Pomegranate Hill Equestrian Centre in Carmel Valley for 6 years. She safely evacuated 80+ horses during the fires of 2007. She is a life-long equestrian competing in the Hunter and Equitation divisions and has recently taken up dressage. Laura keeps her horse at Peppertree.
